RU (mynameisru) – Renowned DJ – From his humble start in 2011 at college cons in his hometown to his leadership role at Katsucon today, Ru (mynameisru) has a devotion to the convention scene that just doesn’t seem to quit. At a young age, he became enamored with electronic music from his love for rhythm games. This passion still holds true today, his sets taking heavy influences from labels such as HYPERNIGHT and HARDCORE TANO*C. He’s been featured on various podcasts for rAmen Break and animedancemusic.com, and opened for legendary SEGA/Sonic the Hedgehog artist Sushi Killer on more than one occasion. When he’s not upsetting the neighbors with bizarre weeb noises or unleashing chaos on a convention dance floor, he’s usually glued to the couch watching Hololive, hiding somewhere in a Round 1, or spending far too much money on gacha games.

At 10:30 PM on DAY 1 of LIL-CON (Saturday November 18), Ru (mynameisru) will be performing a special exclusive musical performance. Get ready to dance and have a blast.
