LIL-CON WILL BE BACK IN 2025
Hey all, I want to keep everyone informed on things.
I sadly have to say that I made the decision to not do LIL-CON this year.
I feel that from the massive cost increase that we have experienced right now wish venues, and now even new taxes that the city of Buffalo is (if we do it in the city itself), that this year for doing LIL-CON is not a wise decision, especially when having the target date in November.
HOWEVER, this doesn’t mean I’m not doing the con in the future, I am actually looking to check into more things soon for next year.
For me personally too, I kind of need a break as I wear many hats as a musician, game studio, and etc. I think also that these avenues are helping me excel more too, as I am making really good connections with large conventions like Cleveland Gaming Classic and more.
BUT FRET NOT…. THERE WILL BE EVENTS IN THE MEANTIME!
- October 19 – I am having an event at Casual Dragon Games that is a little con-like get together that is my birthday bash. This will have Live Music, video gaming, board gaming, and more.
- In January, I will be hosting the Global Game Jam as always!
- Our great event Playtest Playfest will be in Winter/Spring time!
- I might have a 2 VERY cool festival that cosplayers will love! One being a festival with an awesome afterparty in April/May and another in summer
In the meantime, know that LIL-CON is looking to become the best, strongest con it can be.
LIL-CON will be having some info on the web page, as where we will want your feedback for the future for the event.
With that being said, do keep on the look out for all the events that we support locally and regionally.
Also one FINAL thing. I know I have mentioned this is the past, but LIL-CON itself is evolving, where we are outgrowing the name of “LIL” and becoming “BIGGER”. I am letting you all know, that in 2 more LIL-CONs, we are changing the name. This is basically 2 years time. This is an apt amount of time to let people a name change is coming. The brand will be the same and we will be just as strong. We will inform everyone throughout this whole time frame of the plan to do this, so it won’t be a shock. With it, great things and bigger ideas to come 🙂
